About Running North

My name is Hans Overturf, and I love to run. Trying to find a balance between running a faster mile without compromising my ultimate goal has become a metaphor for my approach to training for marathons as well as the way I live my life.

26.2 miles is a long way to run and a huge accomplishment by itself, let alone in a timed event – competing against people that are ridiculously fast, and in much better shape. It’ tough and sometimes frustrating.

My training for marathons has brought a clarity to many aspects of my life. This blog is simply a dedication to running through an accumulation of articles,  ideas, concepts and products that have have helped me, provoked me, or otherwise influenced  me in my personal training for running…and life in general.

Enjoy the burn!
